No Threaded Barrel Needed:
- Mounts via your SureFire X300U-A or X300T-A weapon light to the accessory rail, staying compliant and easy to install.

- No gunsmithing, no threading, no permanent modifications.
Enhance Stability:
- Improves shot-to-shot recovery and target reacquisition.
Rugged and Reliable:
- CNC-machined from solid aluminum bar stock.
- Tested to withstand high round counts and repeated use.
Holster Selection:
- Works with standard holsters designed for the SureFire X300U-A (e.g., PHLster Floodlight).

Step-by-Step Instructions for Assembling the Vantage Point Sig Sauer P320-M18 Light-Mounted Compensator to the SureFire X300U-A or X300T-A Weapon Light (video instructions linked here):
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
- VP Armory Sig Sauer P320-M18 Light-Mounted Compensator
- SureFire X300U-A or X300T-A Weapon Light (& “P” Latch)
- 3/32” Allen Wrench
- Torque wrench (optional but recommended)
- Sig Sauer P320-M18
- Verify the Correct Light:
- Ensure you have the required light for the assembly, specifically the SureFire X300U-A Weapon Light or X300T-A Weapon Light.
- THE COMPENSATOR WILL ONLY WORK WITH AN X300U/T-A MODEL WML- the "-B" or X300V (thumbscrew models) will NOT work with this compensator
- The -A model X300 MUST be used with the Surefire Rail-Lock Kit(included with every Surefire X300-A), installation instructions can be found here: Redirecting to Big Tex Ordinance
2. Prepare the Firearm:
- Ensure the firearm is unloaded before proceeding.
- Ensure your rail is clean.
3. Install the Lock Bar:
- The light comes with a stainless wedge block that allows you to increase tension. Plastic frame guns can vary, so this wedge helps fill in any gaps and provide tension. Begin by installing the lock bar into the light, making sure to utilize the P rail lock during assembly.
- *The "P" latch on the Surefire X3000U-A or X300T-A must be used.
- Slide the lock bar inside the notch on the compensator's tip.
- Push the lock bar inward until it securely locks into place, ensuring a tight and stable fit.
- Ensure the stainless steel screw is correctly positioned in its pocket.
4. Align the Compensator:
- The compensator has cutouts to accommodate the rail lock.
- Align the holes on the compensator with the rail lock.
5. Insert Screws:
- Proceed to attach the light onto the compensator. Start by inserting one screw to facilitate the process, then continue with the remaining screws.
- Continue inserting the remaining screws, ensuring they are snug but not overtightened.
6. Secure the Screws:
- Once all screws are in place, tighten all six bolts 5 inch-pounds to ensure the compensator is firmly attached.
- If you don’t have a torque wrench, tighten all six bolts until they are fully seated, then an additional 1/8 of a turn to ensure they are fully seated and secure.
7. Attach to the Firearm:
- Depress the two wings on the rail lock.
- Slide the rail lock back to release it from the compensator.
- Slide the compensator onto your firearm's rail and lock it into place.
8. Check Fitment:
- Pull on the compensator to ensure it is securely attached.
- If there is any noticeable wiggle or looseness, utilize the wedge block to add tension until the setup feels firm and secure.
9. Perform a Test:
- Finally, perform a quick test to verify that the installation is secure and functioning properly.
- Slide the compensator back and forth to ensure there is no interference.
- Verify there is a small gap (clearance) for proper function.
10. Completion:
- Following these detailed steps will effectively assemble Sig Sauer P320-M18 Full Light-Mounted Compensator with the SureFire X300U-A Weapon Light or X300T-A Weapon Light.

How to Clean Residue from Your Firearm & Compensator
Residue buildup is completely normal—it’s just carbon and fouling left behind from firing. Over time, it can collect on your firearm and compensator, especially around muzzle devices. The good news? It’s easy to clean off, and it doesn’t damage or remove your Cerakote finish when handled properly.
Important note: We’ve seen cases where people try to scrub off the residue too aggressively, which actually ends up polishing the carbon rather than removing it. This can give the illusion that the Cerakote is coming off—but it’s really just shiny residue left behind.
Regular maintenance keeps your setup performing smoothly and helps prolong the life of your gear. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to properly clean that buildup and get your firearm looking and functioning like it should.
