Transform your shooting experience with precision and control. The VP Armory Compensator combines innovative rail-mounted technology with a patent-pending design — delivering reduced recoil, faster follow-ups, and 50-state legal compliance without modifying your firearm.

Key Features and Benefits

Minimize Recoil / Reliable Compensation

  • Reduces muzzle rise by 20–30% for flatter shooting and quicker follow-up shots.
  • Ports redirect gases upward for consistent control.

No Threaded Barrel Needed:

  • Mounts via your SureFire X300U-A or X300T-A weapon light to the accessory rail, staying compliant and easy to install.
  • Since this system is not attached to the slide or barrel it does not inhibit, change or impede the cycling action of the pistol.
  • No gunsmithing, no threading, no permanent modifications.

Enhance Stability:

  • Improves shot-to-shot recovery and target reacquisition.

Rugged and Reliable:

  • CNC-machined from solid aluminum bar stock.
  • Tested to withstand high round counts and repeated use.

Holster Selection:

Standoff Device

  • Keeps your pistol in battery if pressed against a surface in defensive situations.

Ease of Cleaning

  • Quickly detaches for cleaning — no need to re-time or rethread like barrel-mounted comps.

Price vs. Competition:

  • Since the VP Compensator mounts to the accessory rail, there is no need for expensive aftermarket barrels.

50 State Legal

  • Fully compliant design for civilian, LE, and military users in all 50 states.

Sleek Design:

  • Designer has matched the lines of each individual slide to the compensator, resulting in a streamlined device.

Made in USA:

  • Crafted with precision from premium materials in the USA.
  • Compatible with: Glock 19, 19x, 23, 32, 45
  • Anodize Color: Black
  • Material: 7075 Aluminum
  • Rated for Standard and +P/+P+ Ammo
  • Factory slide, barrel, and frame required for proper installation

Step-by-Step Instructions for Assembling the Vantage Point Glock Light-Mounted Compensator to the SureFire X300U-A or X300T-A Weapon Light (Fits Glock 19, 19x, 23, 32, 45)(video instructions linked here):

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

  • VP Armory Glock Light-Mounted Compensator (Fits Glock 19, 19x, 23, 32, 45)
  • SureFire X300U-A or X300T-A Weapon Light
  • Allen Wrench
  • Torque wrench (optional but recommended)
  • Glock 19, 19x, 23, 32, 45
  1. Verify the Correct Light:
  • Ensure you have the required light for the assembly, specifically the SureFire X300U-A Weapon Light.

2. Prepare the Firearm

  • Ensure the firearm is unloaded before proceeding.
  • Ensure your rail is clean.

3. Remove OEM Bolts:

  • Using an Allen key, remove the six OEM bolts from the housing of the SureFire X300U-A light. This will free up the polymer rails that will no longer be needed.

 4. Verify Spring Placement:

  • Before proceeding, ensure that the spring is inside the groove on the backside of the tab of the U-Latch.
  • *The "U" latch on the Surefire X3000U-A must be used
  • If it's not, the tab may still compress, allowing you to assemble everything, but it won't come off properly. To avoid this issue, it's recommended to place the spring into the groove and then fold the light down on top of it, using your thumb to keep tension. This ensures the spring is properly seated in the groove.

 5. Position Compensator:

  • Align the compensator with the rails of the pistol. Slide the compensator onto the rails, making sure it fits snugly.

 6. Secure Compensator:

  • Once the placement is verified, proceed to attach the remaining four bolts.
  • **We highly recommend using a torque wrench.
  • Tighten all six bolts 5 inch-pounds to ensure the compensator is firmly attached.
  • If you don’t have a torque wrench, tighten all six bolts until they are fully seated, then an additional 1/8 of a turn.
  • If the compensator snaps on and off smoothly, it indicates that the spring is properly seated in the groove.

 7. Final Check:

  • After assembly, perform a final check to ensure all bolts are securely tightened. It's essential to use all six bolts for stability and security.
  • Ensure that compensator is in place and aligned

 8. Functional Test:

  • Test the compensator's functionality on your firearm to ensure proper attachment and functionality.
  • Check the screws on a regular basis to ensure they have not backed out.

9. Completion:

  • With the compensator securely attached and tested, your assembly process is complete, and the Vantage Point compensator is ready for use.

How to Clean Residue from Your Firearm & Compensator

Residue buildup is completely normal—it’s just carbon and fouling left behind from firing. Over time, it can collect on your firearm and compensator, especially around muzzle devices. The good news? It’s easy to clean off, and it doesn’t damage or remove your Cerakote finish when handled properly.

Important note: We’ve seen cases where people try to scrub off the residue too aggressively, which actually ends up polishing the carbon rather than removing it. This can give the illusion that the Cerakote is coming off—but it’s really just shiny residue left behind.

Regular maintenance keeps your setup performing smoothly and helps prolong the life of your gear. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to properly clean that buildup and get your firearm looking and functioning like it should.

Definitely worth looking into

I bought this right when they first came out. I have shot over 1000 rounds while using it and can confirm that it has 0 effect on reliability and will absolutely "take the edge off" of shooting. I won't go so far as to say that it's game-changing, but I have noticed that my gun is easier to shoot with it than without it. Whether that's due to the weight or its compensation, it works as intended. I won't use an X300 without it ever again; it adds no overall length, no reliability issues, and makes the gun work for me rather than against me. I can also attest that my Glock 17 holsters and open-ended Glock 19 holsters work without any issues. If you're committed to carrying with an X300 attached, get one of these. Besides the price, there is no downsides.
