SHOT Show Recap: What We Learned and What’s Next at VP Armory

Each year, SHOT Show brings together the firearm industry’s builders, innovators, and end users in one place — and SHOT Show 2026 was no exception. From dealer conversations to hands-on feedback on the show floor, this year reinforced why thoughtful design, reliability, and real-world usability matter more than ever.

At VP Armory, SHOT Show is less about hype and more about listening. The conversations we had directly shape how we design, refine, and expand our product lineup.

What SHOT Show 2026 Reinforced

Across hundreds of conversations with shooters, retailers, and industry partners, a few themes consistently stood out:

Reliability comes first.

Shooters want accessories they can trust under real use — not range toys or trend-driven add-ons. Durability, repeatability, and consistency matter.

Simple installation matters.

There’s growing demand for solutions that don’t require permanent modification. Easy installs, straightforward compatibility, and minimal tools were recurring talking points.

Legality and compatibility can’t be an afterthought.

Many shooters are looking for recoil mitigation options that work within threaded-barrel restrictions and across common pistol platforms.

These priorities align directly with VP Armory’s approach to product design — especially our focus on rail-mounted, 50-state-legal pistol compensators built for practical use.

Built on Manufacturing, Not Marketing

One of the biggest advantages VP Armory brings to the table is how our products are made.

Every compensator we build is designed and machined alongside the same team supporting demanding manufacturing projects across the firearm industry. Tight tolerances, consistent materials, and controlled processes aren’t marketing buzzwords — they’re how we ensure performance and reliability at scale.

That manufacturing-first mindset was a key reason many visitors stopped by our booth to learn more about how our products differ from traditional threaded options.

What’s Coming Next

SHOT Show feedback doesn’t sit on a shelf. It feeds directly into what we’re building next.

Over the coming months, VP Armory will be expanding platform compatibility, refining existing designs based on user input, and introducing new product updates focused on real-world performance.

We’re also continuing to evaluate which pistol models shooters want supported next — feedback we actively welcome from our customers and partners.

Thank You for a Great SHOT Show

SHOT Show 2026 was a reminder that innovation in the firearm space isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about solving real problems with smart engineering, durable materials, and practical design.

If you didn’t get a chance to see our products at SHOT, you can explore our current lineup online — and if you have feedback or platform requests, we’d love to hear from you.

VP Armory remains committed to building American-made firearm accessories that prioritize control, reliability, and simplicity — on the range and beyond.
